This class is grade 8 Technology Applications. We work with a variety of software including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher), as well as, Adobe Photoshop/ImageReady. Also, students will work with graphics and learn Internet research techniques. We also have a great new text book which covers a variety of technology applications. Plus, the text book has its very own website where students can watch tutorials with animation and sound, also, review any of the content of the chapters at any time. Tests and quizzes are also available online at the website where grades are instantly recorded into a database for the teacher to access at any time. Students are finishing a unit on Excel Spreadsheets before continuing lessons with Publisher. In the new year we will begin to cover MultiMedia topics and create projects in MovieMaker, PhotoStory, and PowerPoint.
